Privacy Policy of AskBody
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This policy explains what data the AskBody app processes, why, and what rights you have. If anything is unclear, write to us at contacto@lamarrbits.nl.
1. Who is responsible
Lamarrbits LLC. Contact email: contacto@lamarrbits.nl.
2. What data we process and why
Your account
You need an account to use AskBody. The first time you open the app, you create one or sign in with the one you already have (with Google or with email and password). The app does not work without an account. We process:
- Your email address or, if you sign in with Google, the basic details of your Google account (name and email), to identify you and let you sign in from another phone.
- Your log sheets, calibrations, "The test isn't responding" checks, your profile (the name and city you enter, your practice preferences) and your course progress. They are stored on your phone and synced to your private copy in Firebase (Firestore, region europe-west1, in the European Union). Only you can read it.
- Some technical account data: when you last signed in, the app language and your phone's operating system.
- If you sign in with email and password and turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, the data needed to verify it. Recovery codes are stored in a form nobody can read.
Your profile photo, if you add one, stays only on your phone. It is never uploaded. Your conversation with the assistant is also stored only on your phone.
Legal basis: providing the service you request when you create the account.
If you subscribe to the full version
- Google Play handles the payment. We do not see your card details.
- RevenueCat confirms to us whether your subscription is active, linked to your account identifier.
- When you buy, renew or cancel the subscription, we receive an internal Telegram notice with your account email, the plan and the price. We use it only to run the business.
Legal basis: performance of the subscription contract and, for the notices, our legitimate interest in running the business.
If you use the AI assistant (full version)
- The messages you write and, only if you allow it, a summary of your log sheets are sent to Anthropic (provider of the Claude AI model) to generate the reply.
- We do not store conversations on the server. We only store a message if you report it with "Report reply", so we can review it.
- We count how many messages you use each month to apply the usage limit.
Legal basis: your consent. We ask for it the first time you use the assistant, and you can withdraw it in Settings (under "AI assistant").
Crash reports
If the app closes because of an error, a technical report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix it. It includes the error, the phone model and the system and app versions. It does not include the content of your log sheets.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in making the app work.
AskBody does not use analytics or collect usage statistics.
If you write to us
We process your email address and what you tell us in order to reply to you.
3. Especially sensitive data
In your log sheets you can write down emotions, beliefs or personal topics. We recommend that you do not enter health data or data about other people who have not given you permission. This content is stored only on your phone and in your private copy. It only reaches Anthropic if you write to the assistant or let it read the summary of your log sheets. We never use it for advertising, analytics or training AI models. We do not sell it.
4. Who it is shared with
Only with the providers needed for the app to work, who process the data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase: authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting and Crashlytics) | Account, synced copy, assistant, web pages and crash reports |
| Google Play | Payments |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status |
| Anthropic | AI assistant replies |
| Telegram | Internal notices of purchases, renewals and cancellations |
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Your copy is stored in the European Union. Some providers process data outside it (for example, in the United States). They do so with the safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long it is kept
- Your account data, your copy and the assistant counter: for as long as the account exists. If you delete it from the app, they are erased right away.
- Crash reports: for the period set by Firebase Crashlytics (90 days).
- Reported messages: until they are reviewed, for 12 months at most. If you delete your account, they are erased with it.
- Billing data and internal sales notices: for as long as the law requires.
7. Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, delete it and take it with you (export it). You can also object to its use or restrict it and withdraw your consent at any time.
- Export: in Settings, under "Your data", with "Export my log sheets" (JSON format).
- Delete account and data: in Settings, under "Account", with "Delete account and data". More details at https://askbody.lamarrbits.nl/en/delete-account.
- Any other right: write to contacto@lamarrbits.nl.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or the authority in your country.
8. Minors
AskBody is not intended for anyone under 16.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Your cloud copy can only be accessed with your account. If you sign in with email and password, you can turn on two-factor authentication in Settings.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will let you know in the app before the change takes effect.
